Day 68: A Good Friday Walk

Tamworth

Part of today was spent walking on the hills behind Tamworth. From Oxley lookout we walked a very up and down circuit to Flagstaff Hill Lookout and back again. This was about a 6km round trip and we thought it would be a fairly easy walk. However, 2 and a half hours later, we finally emerged from the bush. The hills were very steep and plentiful. It was certainly a good bit of exercise.
Callum and the Great Dividing Range

Nearly there...

Andrew got to paint some of his wooden plane model later on, and we squeezed in a swim in the pool.

Callum and Andrew were both thrilled that we were having fish and chips for dinner tonight. We have only eaten out twice since leaving Tassie: once on Andrew's birthday and once for an early breakfast in Sydney. Otherwise all meals have been home cooked. So, when we popped out and came back with fish and chips the boys were in raptures.

A lovely, relaxing day altogether.
