Yay! I got a new hat today! This is to replace my poor AVID bucket hat that will forever rest at the bottom of the Torrens River. The new one is the same colour, but has no intelligent markings and is made of lighter material.
What we didn't get today was our new caravan. Some of you out there did not cross your fingers for us...thanks a lot. I don't even want to go into all the details here, save to say that we finally have a time and day from the Griggs people. I am not going to say when, just in case that too changes. You will have to just watch this space...
In the meantime, we headed out for the South Adelaide beaches, and washed up on Christie's Beach and at Port Noarlunga. Wow, what an amazing coastline - you can see it curving off for miles into the distance. The sea was crystal clear and refreshing looking, so Andrew, Callum and I decided to have a little swim. Our swim was going swimmingly (ha ha), when suddenly Andrew (swimming underwater with his goggles on) surfaced, squealed like a girl and jumped on me, yelling "Crab! There's a huge crab down there! It's coming towards us with its pincers going (insert pincer noise here)!" Needless to say, us pathetic Grants all hot-footed it out of the water. We did dabble a bit in the shallows, but the joy of the experience was lost. Having had a foot incident already, we didn't really want somebody to end up pincered by a feral crab.
It was most liberating and relaxing to be out and about. Tomorrow we will be...but no, I think I will leave that for tomorrow's blog.
See ya.
